Isn't it great to cross those barriers we all keep hidden in our heads? I love that dazed and confused feeling I get when two people from two "separate" parts of my life turn out to know each other. After I get over the initial reaction I feel strangely comforted.
Today I have a guest post on Civil Eats, an agricultural sustainability blog. My post is about shamanism, and how I work with shamanism as part of transforming our property into an abundant, sustainable homestead. It felt a little weird at first, submitting a post on spirituality to a blog that includes a lot of hard news and very little spiritual exploration. However, when I saw it posted there this morning it looked completely at home. How cool is that?
Check it out if you can. Great blog to explore!

Takin a break - sharin the love
The Flynn clan flew out to celebrate Mom's 70th bday - I've been a little busy. I'll probably post this week but I thought I'd take this opportunity to highlight other writing blogs. I was inspired by a link a friend shared that contains a free book. Its a collection of Women's essays, poetry, art on the topic "What is dying to be born?" click to get the book!
Apart from being a great book filled with inspirational pieces - it has links to many of the authors writing blogs. What a great idea! I thought I'd share the writing-blog-link-love myself a bit - here are some fave links of mine below, all are located in the links section @ http://www.alchemistsjournal.com. Enjoy!

Maya Stein's writing blog - food - life
Patti Digh What would you do if you had 37 days to live?
cleavage Kelly Diels essays - sex - money - life
Colleen Wainwright - life - writing - life
Green Kitchen Michelle Russell - "where the iron cord frequents the butter dish" craft - family - food - funny
